What Can You Patch?
| Pimple Type | Patch-Friendly? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Whiteheads | ✅ | Perfect candidate — patch absorbs fluid and protects the spot. |
| Surface Pimples | ✅ | If it’s at or near the surface, the patch will help draw it out. |
| Pimples Coming to a Head | ✅ | Use just before or once the head is visible for best results. |
| Cystic Pimples | ❌ | Too deep — patch can’t reach below the surface. |
| Blind Pimples | ❌ | These sit deeper in the skin and need internal support. |
| Infected/Weeping Pimples | ❌ | Not recommended — see a professional for care. |
How to use?
- ID your pimple: Our hydrocolloid patches work best on surface-level pimples or whiteheads that have come to a head. They are not suitable for cystic, deep, or infected breakouts.
- Tear to patch: Use the perforated backing sheet to easily peel off one patch at a time: no tweezers or wasted patches needed.
- Start with clean, dry skin: Apply the patch to a freshly cleansed area. Avoid using serums or moisturizers on or around the spot before application as this can prevent the patch from sticking properly.
How to Know It’s Working
- Patch turns white? That’s a good thing - it means it has absorbed gunk from the pimple. Remove and discard. Apply another if needed.
- Patch falls off? It may have lost adhesion after 8–24 hours. Time to replace.

Ingredient Glossary
- Cellulose Gum: A natural thickener and stabilizer derived from plant cell walls. It gives the product its flexible, gel-like texture and helps it stay in place on your skin.
- Styrene Isoprene Styrene Block Copolymer: A skin-safe synthetic polymer that gives our patches their stretch, grip and bounce without irritation. Used to create a flexible, durable structure.
- Polyisobutene: A lightweight, non-comedogenic synthetic oil that adds smoothness and adhesive qualities to our patches. Helps our Jelly Shield grip your skin comfortably.
- Petroleum Resin: A tackifier that improves the stickiness of the formula, helping it adhere well without sliding or lifting.
- Polyurethane Film: A breathable film layer that protects the skin while allowing moisture balance and flexibility.
- Liquid Paraffin: A moisturizing emollient that softens and smooths the skin underneath the patch. It creates a protective barrier on the skin’s surface.
- Tetrakis Methane: A stabilizing ingredient used to enhance the performance of polymers and resins. Helps improve texture and wearability over time.
